Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all passengers who book or use taxi services provided by Thanks Drive, operated by ABDB Enterprise Limited, registered in England & Wales.

By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


Definitions

“We”, “Us”, “Our” refers to ABDB Enterprise Limited T/A Thanks Drive.

“Passenger”, “You” refers to any individual making a booking or travelling in our vehicles.

“Booking” refers to any reservation made via phone, website, app, or third-party platform.

“Vehicle” refers to any licensed taxi or private hire vehicle operated by us.


1. Private Hire Services
  • We operate strictly as a Private Hire service.
  • All journeys must be pre-booked through our website or mobile app.
  • We do not accept street hails or immediate hire without a confirmed booking.

    2. Bookings
    • All bookings are subject to availability and acceptance.
    • A booking is confirmed once payment is successfully received and confirmation is issued via the website, app, email, or SMS.
    • Customers must provide accurate pickup details, contact information, and passenger numbers.
    • Passengers must be over the age of 18 unless accompanied by an adult.
    • No pets permitted unless agreed prior to the booking in writing.

    We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings for safety, legal, or operational reasons.


    3. Fares and Pricing
    • All fares are fixed or quoted at the time of booking.
    • Prices are calculated based on distance, time, and journey details provided.
    • Additional charges may apply where applicable, including:
      • Waiting time beyond the free allowance
      • Airport parking or drop-off charges
      • Toll roads or congestion charges
      • Excess luggage or additional passengers not declared at booking

    All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.


    4. Payment
    • Full payment is required at the time of booking.
    • Accepted payment methods are card payment or bank transfer.
    • Bookings will not be confirmed until payment has cleared.
    • Failed or reversed payments may result in cancellation and refusal of future bookings.

    5. Cancellations & No-Shows
    • Cancellations must be made at least 4 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
    • Cancellations made less than 4 hours before pickup are non-refundable.
    • Failure to attend the pickup location or failure to respond to contact attempts will be treated as a no-show and charged at 100% of the fare.
    • This policy applies to all bookings, including airport and long-distance journeys.

    6. Waiting Time
    • A free waiting period of 2 minutes applies from the scheduled pickup time.
    • Waiting time beyond this allowance may be charged.
    • If a passenger cannot be contacted within a reasonable time, the booking may be marked as a no-show.

    7. Passenger Conduct
    • Passengers must:
      • Behave in a safe, respectful, and lawful manner.
      • Wear seatbelts at all times where provided.
      • Not smoke, vape, consume alcohol, or use illegal substances in the vehicle.

    We reserve the right to terminate a journey without refund if passenger behaviour is abusive, unsafe, or illegal.


    8. Children & Child Seats
    • Passengers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
    • Children must be supervised at all times.
    • Any required child seats must be requested at the time of booking.
    • Passengers are responsible for compliance with UK child seat legislation.

    9. Luggage
    • Luggage is carried at the passenger’s risk.
    • We are not responsible for damage caused by unsuitable, excessive, or improperly secured items.
    • Assistance with luggage is provided at the driver’s discretion.

    10. Lost Property
    • We are not responsible for items left behind but will make reasonable efforts to assist with their return.
    • Items found in vehicles will be recorded and returned to South Gloucestershire Council or the local Police Station within 24 hours.

    11. Delays & Service Disruption
    • We aim to provide timely service but are not liable for delays caused by:
      • Traffic congestion
      • Roadworks or accidents
      • Weather conditions
      • Events beyond our reasonable control
      • Unforeseen circumstances

    No compensation is payable for such delays.


    12. Vehicle & Driver Substitution
    • We reserve the right to substitute vehicles or drivers where necessary.
    • All vehicles and drivers are fully licensed in accordance with South Gloucestershire Council requirements.

    13. Liability
    • Our liability is limited to the value of the fare paid for the journey.
    • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
    • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

    14: Complaints
    • Complaints must be submitted within 14 days of the journey.

    15. Data Protection
    • Personal data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
    • Booking and journey data may be retained for legal, licensing, and operational purposes.

    • We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time.
    • The latest version will always be available on our website and mobile app.

    17. Governing Law
    • These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
    • Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of UK courts.
